I'm running Mac OS Sierra. I'm having trouble changing my printer settings; specifically, the printer is set to print double sided, with long bleeding edge (I don't know why this is a default setting as I have never selected anything to be printed in the format). Currently, I have to manually change the printer settings each time I print, and I have even clicked save default settings after each print.
This is occurring on two of five printers I have installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both, as well as restarting my computer multiple times.
Jun 14, 2019 Click on the Preset drop – down, at the top of the Pring Option window. Choose Save Current Settings as Preset Type a name for your preset (B&W for example). Choose if you want to save it for the current printer or all printers. Hit Command+P or go to the Print menu item to see the default printer option from OS X now in use with the Chrome browser app Outside of keeping things consistent, one of the perks of using the general OS X print dialog window is a return of the easy printing to a PDF file option right in.
I have gone into printer presets, but I am not allowed to edit/change values or delete presets (which, in my opinion, is extremely dumb).
Honestly, all I want is to be able to print single sided by default and am at the point where I may just buy a new printer.
Thanks.
